Burgenland building firm is broke
Burgenland has been hit with its biggest business bankruptcy in months as an Oberwart-based construction firm goes bust.
Federal Creditors’ Protection Association (KSV 1870) said judges at the provincial court Eisenstadt began dealing with the case of Domweber Baugesellschaft mbH today (Weds).
KSV 1870 said debts of 7.4 million Euros makes the Domweber issue the biggest bankruptcy so far this year in the eastern province of Burgenland.
The body revealed the plan was to present a restructure concept to the 280 creditors and keep the company – which has 74 employees – alive.
Domweber has assets of 4.9 million Euros, according to reports.
KSV 1870 announced last week it expected the number of business bankruptcies to shrink over the next few months compared to last year, while the rise in private bankruptcies was predicted to slow down.
