Blink-182 to rock Austria
Reunited punk rock stars Blink-182 are set to perform in Austria later this year, it has emerged.
Organisers of the "Two Days A Week" festival, taking place on 3 and 4 September in Wiesen, Burgenland, said today (Fri) the Californian trio will head the bill at the event while further acts will be confirmed shortly.
The band, who won two MTV Europe Music Awards after rising to fame with their 1999 album Enema of the State, announced last year they were back in the studio after all three members focused on other projects between 2005 and 2009.
Meanwhile it has also been announced that Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger from The Doors will perform at the Clam Classic Rock festival at Upper Austria’s Clam castle on 9 July before hitting the stage at the Lovely Days festival in Wiesen the next day.
Both events’ bill will also feature American rock legends Toto.
Other upcoming live music highlights are the performances of rockers New Model Army (3 March, p.p.c. Graz), pop sensation La Roux (8 March, Arena Vienna) and actor Jared Leto’s band 30 Seconds To Mars (19 March, Gasometer, Vienna).
