Anajo Vienna comeback scheduled for October
Anajo will return to Vienna later this year, it has emerged.
Online music newspaper Britishrock.cc reports today (Tues) that the German indie pop trio will perform at the Arena concert hall on 28 October. Viennese rock band A Life, A Song, A Cigarette have been confirmed as a support act.
Anajo have been touring Germany, Austria and Switzerland almost nonstop since releasing their debut album "Nah bei mir" in 2004. The Augsburg-based band have performed in Vienna several times over the years.
The band released their second record "Hallo, wer kennt hier eigentlich wen?" in 2007 before putting out "Anajo und das Poporchester" last year. They had alternative radio hits with songs like "Monika Tanzband" and "Ich hol Dich hier raus".
Anajo reached ninth place in the 2007 Bundesvision Song Contest initiated by German show master Stefan Raab with their song "Wenn du nur wüsstest".
Other October live music highlights in Vienna are concerts by Goldfrapp (13 October) and Geoff Berner (26 October, Vienna).
