New Korn album enters top three
American metal band Korn have made the top three of the Austrian Album Chart with their new record.
New entry "Korn III: Remember Who You Are" reached number three, while Detroit rapper Eminem’s latest release "Recovery" stays in second place. The ranking is topped by Austrian Schlager band Die Seer’s album "Wohlfühlgfühl".
Korn will perform in Vienna’s Gasometer concert hall on 26 September.
British singer Sting achieved the second-highest entry in the Austrian Album Chart with his new album "Symphonicities" which reached 19th place. He will team up with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra for a concert at the Stadthalle Vienna on 5 November.
Shakira meanwhile still rocks the Austrian Singles Chart. The Colombian singer’s World Cup song "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)" still tops the rankings after eight weeks. US pop diva Lady Gaga is in second place with "Alejandro" ahead of "Wavin' Flag" by K'naan. The up and coming Somali-born rapper will rock the Szene club in Vienna on 31 August, according to Britishrock.cc.
