Public Enemy to perform in Innsbruck
American hip hop superstars Public Enemy will come to Austria later this year.
Britishrock.cc revealed today (Thurs) that the five-member outfit from Long Island, New York, would perform at Innsbruck’s Hafen club on 5 November.
Public Enemy, who are fronted by iconic rappers Flavor Flav and Chuck D, are considered one of the genre’s most influential acts.
"It takes a nation of millions to hold us back" from 1988 is their most acclaimed album. It was number 48 on the Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time in 2003.
Other eagerly awaited shows are gigs by Finnish symphonic metal band Apocalyptica (Gasometer Vienna, 19 October; Posthof Linz, 1 April 2011) and US pop-punkers Good Charlotte (Gasometer Vienna, 21 January 2011).
