Great films on New Year's Eve

A new Sherlock Holmes film and George Clooney’s "The Ides of March" will be screened at the Burgkino on New Year’s Eve.

"Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" directed by Guy Ritchie features Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. Apart from the acclaimed sequel to "Sherlock Holmes" from 2009, "The Ides of March" and J.C. Chandor’s "Margin Call" will be on at the Burgkino – which shows all movies in their original versions – this Saturday (31 December). Kevin Spacey ("21") and "Indecent Proposal" star Demi Moore can be seen in leading roles in the acclaimed Wall Street drama film.

The Burgkino’s (Opernring 19; www.burgkino.at; +43 1 587 84 06) programme on New Year’s Eve will be completed by Roman Polanski’s "Carnage" and "A Dangerous Method" starring Viggo Mortensen and Keira Knightley.

Quentin Tarantino’s new film "Django Unchained" will be on at the Viennese English cinema from December 2012. Already next month, the Burgkino will screen "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara. "J. Edgar", a film about controversial FBI director J. Edgar Hoover directed by Clint Eastwood ("Gran Torino"), will start in February.
