What's on at the Haydn cinema this week (5 January - 11 January)
NEW YEAR’S EVE: Starring Robert De Niro, Ashton Kutcher, Katherine Heigl, Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry, it is a romantic comedy film about the lives of several singles and couples on New Year’s Eve.
BREAKING DAWN (PART I): Romance fantasy-vampire film. It is the fourth instalment of The Twilight Saga film series. The Quileute and the Volturi close in on Edward and Bella, whose unborn child poses different threats to the wolf pack and vampire coven.
PUSS IN BOOTS 3D: Computer-animated adventure film about the character Puss in Boots. Accompanied by his sidekicks, Puss is pitted against two murderous outlaws who have the magic beans, a serious threat to the world.
THE IDES OF MARCH: Political, drama, thriller directed by George Clooney. Junior campaign manager (Ryan Gosling) for Mike Morris (George Clooney) suddenly finds himself amidst dirty politics whilst on the campaign trail.
JANE EYRE: British romantic drama film based on the novel by Charlotte Brönte. After turning eighteen and completing her education, Jane Eyre finds a job as a governess at Thornfield Park.
CARNAGE: A black comedy/drama film written and directed by Roman Polanski. Starring Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz and John C. Reilly, the film tells about two sets of parents whose children have been involved in a schoolyard fight and who meet up to talk cordially.
SHERLOCK HOLMES: A game of shadows: Join Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) and his sidekick Dr.Watson (Jude Law) in the second instalment of Sherlock as the pair attempt to bring down Professor Moriarty.
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 4: Spy film starring Tom Cruise, Michael Nyqvist, Jeremy Renner and Paula Patton. While IMF agent Ethan Hunt is carrying out an operation in Moscow, a terrorist bombing destroys the Kremlin.
HAPPY FEET 2 3D: Computer-animated film. It is a sequel to Happy Feet. Erik, Mumble and Gloria’s son, is struggling to try dancing as most of the penguins in the Emperor Penguin world do. Meanwhile, his family and friends discover a new threat endangers their home.
A DANGEROUS METHOD: Film starring Keira Knightley and Michael Fassbender, looking at the complex and intense relationship between Jung and Freud and their development of psychoanalysis.
