Disneys Pirates of the Carribean screened with live orchestra
The film "The Pirates of the Carribean" is to appear in Vienna in a whole new dimension. At the end of March, for the first time in Austria, the Disney film will be screened with the accompaniment of a full orchestra.
For all film music fanatics, young and old, the "LIVE in concert" production is a must see. The world famous Babelsberg orchestra will be playing on stage at the Vienna Stadthalle and recreating the magic of Hans Zimmers infamous score whilst the Hollywood film plays in the background.
The original film will be screened with German subtitles, with a choir and a 60 piece orchestra alongside it. The venue has managed to achieve optimal cinema quality after installing new high-tech projectors in the concert hall. The film will be projected onto a 65 metre square screen and a sound engineer is working to perfect the entire show by successfully combing the Disney film with the sound of the enormous orchestra.
The concert will take place on 30 March at 7.30pm and on 31 March at 3pm.
