'The Descendants' delights Viennese movie fans
An award-winning film starring George Clooney will be on at Vienna’s Burgkino tomorrow (Tues).
"The Descendants" received two Golden Globe Awards earlier this month. It has the chance to win five Oscars at this year’s Academy Awards. The drama film was directed by Alexander Payne. Shailene Woodley and Amara Miller star alongside Clooney ("Michael Clayton", "The Ides of March") in the acclaimed movie.
"The Descendants" made the top 10 lists for the best movies of 2011 of some of the world’s most renowned newspapers and showbiz magazines including the Washington Post, San Francisco Chronicle and the New York Times.
The Burgkino is located at Opernring 19 in the heart of Vienna. The tradition-rich English versions cinema will also screen "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" by David Fincher ("Fight Club"), "Intouchables" starring Francois Cluzet, documentary "Empire Me" and Carol Reed’s "The Third Man" from 1949 tomorrow.
