Flying wheels put cyclists in clinic

Two cyclists had to be hospitalised after they were hit by wheels falling off a driving lorry near Ybbs an der Donau yesterday (Tues).

Police in the Lower Austrian town said today they were still investigating why the cargo dropped off the truck’s trailer.

A 70-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries, while her 63-year-old male companion got away with cuts and bruises.
