Boy in clinic after window plunge
A Styrian boy had to be hospitalised after falling out of a first-storey window this morning (Weds).
Police in Mureck said the 18-month-old child opened the living room window while playing with his older brother.
The siblings’ mother, 40, told authorities the incident occurred as she left the room for a moment.
The boy, who suffered undisclosed injuries, was helicoptered to the LKH hospital in Graz.
A similar incident occurred in Landeck, Tyrol, earlier this month.
A girl and her 18-month-old brother fell around nine metres after the eight-year-old’s leg got entangled when she wanted to leave the windowsill to clamber back into the flat.
The girl suffered nothing but a broken finger, while her brother needed treatment for bruising.
