Farmer knocks out daughter with tractor
Linz doctors said today (Thurs) a two-year-old girl will make a full recovery after she was hit by a tractor shovel yesterday.
The girl passed out after her father hit her with the tractor shovel as he worked on his farm in Leopoldschlag, Upper Austria.
The man told paramedics he missed the girl running right in front of the vehicle.
She was driven to the Children’s Hospital Linz with undisclosed injuries. Doctors however announced today that she was out of danger and will recover fully.
This incident comes just weeks after a woman and her son suffered serious injuries as they were dragged along by a tractor for several metres. They fell out of its shovel after sitting in it while the woman's husband drove it in the Upper Austrian town of Rohrbach.
Local police said the farmer had accidentally triggered the vehicle’s hydraulic control sending the couple flying out of the shovel as he changed gears.
