Drunk truck driver stuck in too low underpass

A boozed-up Romanian articulated lorry driver is facing charges for getting stuck in an underpass last night (Tues).

Officials in Pöchlarn said today the 44-year-old man was found almost five times over the legal drink and drive limit by policemen on patrol who witnessed the man try and drive the lorry into the underpass which was too low.

Police said the Romanian, who is in custody, now faces charges for driving while being drunk and a bill for damaging the subway leading traffic under the western railway line, an essential train traffic route connecting Salzburg, Linz and Vienna.
