Climbers forced to spend night at 3,000 meters

Two climbers were forced on Wednesday to spend a night in the mountains in South Tyrol, Italy, after leaving it too late to make the last descent.

They informed the mountain rescue service about their situation just before 10pm, but they could not reach the two men, since they were located at an altitude of over 3,000 meters.

As a result, the two alpinists found themselves having to spend the night on the mountain, close to the Italian-Austrian border, in a tent.
