Man shot for taking too long to leave his parking space

A man was shot in Vienna on Saturday for taking too long to leave his parking space. Romanian, Dimitru M. was in an underground car park with his wife and son when a 22-year-old driver pulled a gun on him.

The incident took place in the middle of a busy shopping day on Saturday. The 41-year-old father Dimitru M. had merely loaded his shopping bags into his car and moved the car a meter back to let his wife and child get in, when another driver lost his temper. Qazim G., who was waiting for the family to give up their spot, jumped from his vehicle and began to berate the Romanian.

Before the father could even respond the 22-year-old got a gun from his car and fired at his opponent. Thanks to the father's quick reactions the bullet narrowly missed him. The angry driver then jumped back into his car and drove off.

"The culprit hid the gun from his sister but that didn’t help him. He has confessed the crime," explained police spokesman Roman Hahslinger. Dimitru M. was able to identify the man who was later arrested in his flat.
