One in four see burn out risk, poll shows
A quarter of Austrians said they felt threatened by suffering from burn out, a new study has shown.
Research agency Marketagent said today (Tues) 25 per cent of people interviewed said they could imagine experiencing burn out at some future point due to too much stress at work.
Eighty-four per cent however said at the same time they also enjoyed their work, while 66.8 per cent told researchers they know burn out victims.
Asked what issues they exactly identify as potential burn out triggers, 50.4 per cent named time pressure, while almost one in three (29.7 per cent) said they felt treated unequally at their workplace.
Labour market experts only recently warned of a dramatic rise in sick leave cases caused by psychiatric diseases.
