Vorarlberg wheelchair group reveal 'Race across Australia' plans

A group of wheelchair-bound athletes are eyeing up an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records as they aim to cross Australia.

The four pals from Vorarlberg’s Wheelchair Club said today (Weds) they had already crossed the Arlberg mountain pass road straddling the provinces of Tyrol and Vorarlberg on their hand bikes in preparation for their ambitious challenge.

The handicapped sportsmen said they planned to cycle Australia from west to east later this year.
