Gratton named new Edinburgh Capitals coach

Former EC Zeltweg star Brad Gratton has been named new Edinburgh Capitals head coach.

The Canadian, who played for Zeltweg and Vienna between 1994 and 1997, will take over at the UK Elite Ice Hockey League side from next season, it was announced today (Thurs).

The Brantford-born retired center’s career also included spells with clubs in the United States, Finland and Germany.

Bratton revealed he turned down other offers to take over the hot seat at the Scottish club.

"We’ll build a big, hard-hitting aggressive team that's hard to play against. No team will have it easy against us," he told local media.
