Arsenal teach Sturm Graz a lesson

Austrian Bundesliga club Sturm Graz stood no chance against Premier League giants Arsenal in a friendly yesterday (Weds).

The ÖFB Cup winners lost the match in front of 9,500 fans 0-3. French star Samir Nasri found the goal twice for the side of Arsene Wenger, while English rookie Henri Lansbury netted the third goal.

Around 300 Arsenal supporters from all over the world watched their heroes beat the team managed by Franco Foda.

Arsenal, who finished the past season in third place, currently prepare in Styrian spa resort Bad Waltersdorf for upcoming challenges.

The star-studded squad will play Burgenland club SC Neusiedl next Tuesday (27 July). Sturm meanwhile face Kapfenberg in the second round of the 2010/2011 Bundesliga season this Saturday.

German giants Schalke 04 are currently also in Austria. The team of former Bayern Munich boss Felix Magath defeated LASK Linz 2-0 in front of 5,500 fans. Brazilian striker Eduardo "Edu" Gonçalves de Oliveira scored both goals.
